When a customer comes and orders us an element of urban furniture, we consider it a test of fire, because you work with many units of measurement and you have to take into account that they are exposed to many uses and aggression.
We are fortunate that much of the furniture in Palamós has been developed in Forjats Pardo. We are aware that an element like this must be designed for this function, among other characteristics, and vaccinated against the passage of time. Materials and/or finishes can be achieved. Although we are aware that the best way to protect an element of these characteristics, is to make it something loved, in a friendly, close, useful and necessary design.
Urban furniture is an element that is present in our lives, becomes part of the landscape and can even, at times, become an emblematic and distinctive element of the city.
As the Catalan designer Miquel Milà says "there are truths hidden in the banks: an old man who has a hard time getting up from a bank too low... Dignity when getting up!". Comfort is the goal to solve this problem. That’s why they’re usually a little taller than a normal chair. Almost imperceptible if you don’t pay enough attention.
We invite you to locate them by Palamós and try them and transmit your perceptions.
